The Khan family’s long-owned, sea-facing property in Bandra has moved a step closer to transformation. While the development has immediately sparked speculation that superstar Salman Khan might finally relocate from his iconic Galaxy Apartments residence, sources clarify that no official shifting plans have been confirmed.
MCZMA Recommends the Six-Storey Proposal
According to an India Today report, the property has been part of the Khan family’s real estate portfolio for over a decade. The project recently cleared a major bureaucratic hurdle:
The proposal in the meeting was evaluated during the 198th meeting of the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA).
Checking the Status as the plot sits in a CRZ-II (Coastal Regulation Zone) area, redevelopment is permissible. The MCZMA has officially recommended the proposal from a coastal regulation perspective.
- The Blueprint: An older structure on the sea-facing plot has already been demolished. The Khan family reportedly plans to construct a brand-new, six-storey residential bungalow on the site.
The recommendation has now been forwarded to the local planning authority for final statutory clearances before construction can officially begin.
Is Salman Khan Moving?
The news has reignited intense curiosity regarding Salman Khan’s living arrangements, especially following the security scare outside Galaxy Apartments. No Confirmed Shift claims the Insiders report, which says that the family has not set a timeline for construction, nor have they announced any concrete plans to leave Galaxy Apartments.
In terms of security of Galaxy Apartments, it has been Salman’s home for decades. Security at the building was heavily fortified following a firing incident outside his residence.
