If you remember when Mohit Suri announced his film based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel The Half Girlfriend, the author later tweeted saying that it was Sushant Singh Rajput who would be playing the leading role in the film opposite Shraddha Kapoor. If you check the tweet from the author in 2015, it categorically stated that the director has dropped Sushant for the said film and not Arjun Kapoor.

Perhaps, he was the choice for the said film as he did his debut with Kai Po Che which was also based on one of novels of Chetan Bhagat, while he was the first choice since he suited well for the character as he comes from Patna and the leading man’s role was of a Patna Boy only. Sushant was even supposed to be the part of Abhishek Kapoor’s film Fitoor, which later was given to Aditya Roy Kapur. However, when asked as to why Sushant had to opt out of the films due to the delays. While other reports suggested that the rift with Ekta Kapoor and Abhishek cost the said films. However, Sushant denied any such rifts between the two and said that he was busy with too many films, which made him drop it. Stay tuned to know more about it and others only with us.
