On the other hand, Bollywood star Anupam Kher also shared the news by uploading the film’s poster and announcing its re-release. In addition, the reason for its re-release has been revealed. He has stated that this movie is being re-released on the 33rd anniversary of the departure of Kashmiri Pandits due to popular demand and urged fans to watch the movie as a tribute to them.

The Kashmir Files was released in theatres last year on March 11, 2022. This film grossed more than Rs 340 crores at the box office despite being made on a very low budget of approximately Rs 20 to 25 crores. This film depicts the migration of Kashmiri Hindus in 1990.
