Vikram Vedha Box Office Collection: Saif and Hrithik’s action drama remain static on the 2nd day

Vikram Vedha had a great Saturday after earning 10.58 crores on Friday. While it was expected that the collections needed to increase by at least 30%-40% in order to find some form of standing, even if that didn’t happen, there was a surge and that counted. The picture made an additional 13 crores*, which is a relief given that it debuted below expectations.

With this, the film has now earned 23.58 crores*, which would have been the bare minimum expected from Vikram Vedha’s Day One revenues in pre-pandemic days. Of all, this is a different era, so expectations are kept in control. Still, when it comes to action blockbusters like VV, Shamshera, Samrat Prithviraj, Heropanti 2 and others, one is compelled to have high aspirations. Unfortunately, that hasn’t happened to a significant level for this Pushkar-Gayatri movie, so we’ll have to wait and watch whether there’s another reversal on Sunday.

R. Madhavan portrayed the encounter expert Vikram in the Tamil film, while Vijay Sethupathi played the feared gangster Vikram in the remake, performed by Saif and Hrithik. Pushkar and Gayatri also directed the 2017 picture, therefore the remake stayed true to the original.

In addition to the two male stars, Radhika Apte, Sharib Hashmi, Rohit Saraf, Yogita Bihani, and Satyadeep Mishra play important parts. Unlike the original, which was set in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, the Hindi film is set in Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh.
