Hrithik’s Vikram Vedha gets leaked online a few hours after theatrical release; Ponniyin Selvan meets the same fate
Vikram Vedha released in cinemas today, September 30, receiving ample consideration from viewers as well as critics. But looks like the film will have to struggle for its decent box office collection despite its outstanding performances. The film is leaked online in full HD format to watch, and even download for free only a few hours after its theatrical debut.
It happened to many films before this and now the fresh one falling prey to this uncontrollable online piracy is Hrithik and Saif’s film Vikram Vedha. That’s not all as Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan also met the same uncertainty by getting leaked on multiple torrent sites. Reports stated that Vikram Vedha and Ponniyin Selvan can be downloaded and watched for free. The names of sites like Filmyzilla, 123movies, 123movierulz, Filmywaap, and Telegram channel, among others have been mentioned.
We heard that the makers of Ponniyin Selvan took strict actions to nullify the effect of this leak. But, Vikram Vedha’s team hasn’t declared anything yet. We are confident about their effort to stop this malpractice by getting these sites blocked.
This online leak comes as a big disappointment to the whole team of the film who worked hard to create the final product. It would even affect the business of Indian cinema. Cine Talkers urges you to not get drawn towards these illegal platforms and to watch the films only in theatres or qualified OTT platforms. Online piracy comes under criminal practices as per the copyright infringement act of India.
