Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s next venture Shikara A Love letter From Kashmir to release in OTT

It was the film Drive by Karan Johar starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez which hit the OTT platform giving a new trend in the B Town to get a different release rather than the theatrical one. Now, treading the same path, the popular filmmaker and producer – Vidhu Vinod Chopra is also planning his next film Shikara A Love letter From Kashmir to release on an OTT platform.

This will be directed by Chopra himself after he helmed the last film Eklayva in 2007. The film Shikara A Love letter From Kashmir will only be having an OTT release rather than the theatrical release. The film is based on Kashmiri Pundits and their mass exodus, which was supposed to get its release on 9th November in the film theatres, however, it was delayed till February 2020.

Now, as the recent buzz, the film will go straight to one of the popular streaming platforms on the web world. Vidhu Vinod Chopra has been a known film producer and has given good films like 3 Idiots, PK and Sanju with Rajkumar Hirani. In the year 2015, he even directed a Hollywood movie called Broken Horses having Vincent D’Onofrio in the lead role. It was based on Bollywood movie Parinda. However, it was a disaster. Talking about his current film Shikara it is a semi-autobiographical film that has brought Vinod Chopra to direction.
