As we all know, this film featuring Bhumi Pednekar and Kiara Advani brings a crazy comedy tale of a simple guy, Govinda, facing hardships in his career as a junior background dancer. While he is drowned with debts, his wife is in an extra-marital affair. Things get worse after a murder happens in his jail cell, landing him in major trouble.

Vicky Kaushal recently spoke about his character Govinda in the film and how it is a difficult job to pull off the comedy genre effortlessly. In his conversation with Film Companion, the Lust Stories actor disclosed that he was nervous at the time of this film’s shoot.

Here’s what Vicky Kaushal said:

The 34-year-old actor further illustrated his views and said, “The comedy sequences offer far more pressure to perform than heavy, emotional ones. When you do a comedy scene, you have to ensure that it lands right; otherwise, you may entirely miss the joke. As there were multiple retakes of one single shot, the film’s team basically avoided laughing at a comedy scene. This confused me about whether my joke worked or not.”

Besides Vicky, Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar also revealed their roles recently and how the director of this film supported them in giving their best shots. The trailer and music have received a positive response so far. Let’s wait and watch to know what impression the final output of Govinda Naam Mera creates on the audience.
