Veteran Music Composer Vanraj Bhatia Passes Away at 93, Bollywood Mourns

The legendary music composer along with the National Award winner – Vanraj Bhatia is no more. The veteran musician passed away at the age of 93 this Friday. He was awarded with prestigious awards like Padma Shree and he seemed to be facing some age related problems while he seemed mostly bedridden. He is best known for composing music for a number of movies like 36 Chowringhee Lane and Ankur along with TV Show Tamas.

RIP #VanrajBhatia .. apart from the many other brilliant musical works he created, I vividly remember the theme of ‘Tamas’ that started with a shriek so filled with anguish, it could send a chill up anyone’s spine and break anyone’s heart.
