Veteran Actress Tabu To Be awarded At Los Angeles Indian Film Festival
Tabu is among a talented actress, and she has bagged national Award, and last was seen in the film AndhaDhun with Radhika Apte and Ayushmann Khurran. As per the latest buzz, she is now to be honoured at the prestigious Indian Film Festival to be held at Los Angeles in the coming month of April. The organisers of the committee confirmed about the same by issuing a statement claiming that they have been discussing her name since the past few months. The committee feels that she is a versatile, fearless and independent lady who is known to perform the best over the silver screen.
The statement also read that it would be a celebration of female filmmakers and actresses in the Indian Cinema. Tabu’s last film Andhadhun is also included in the list to be screened in the film festival, which is a female filmmakers’ venture. The festival will also include the work of many other female filmmakers making it very much special film festival in the US. These include a number of features, shots and documentaries, which will be shown in nine different languages.
Some of the films that are considered in the film festival include The Horse To Eat Jalebis is the work of a lady called Anamika Haksar, and then there is Jonaki which is also screened in the festival by Aditya Vikram Sengupta again featuring the known Bengali actress Lolita Chatterjee. The other films to be included in this list include Namdev Bhau In Search Of Silence, The Sweet Requiem and Tenzing Sonam. Last but not the least the film Maya featuring Kirti Kulhari and Naveen Kasturia too will be screened in the festival. The festival will be held at LA on 14th April 2019, and it will be reaching in its 17th edition.
