Apart from the several political statements coming over and again, even the Bollywood and the Pakistani actors’ base are leaving active responses, soon after the announcements declared by Pak’s Prime Minister Imran Khan. Yesterday, he announced about the peace laid release of the Indian pilot, Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman.

A highly popular Pakistani actor and a much known filmmaker, Jamal Shah also shared his views on the same.

The last month has been a really turbulent one for both the countries fighting for their own stands. Soon after the Pulwama attack of February 14th, several operations have laid in continuation with the same. The retaliations from both the ends have created such a difficult situation with Wing Commander Abhi trapped within the Pak boundaries. While the good news comes due to the Indian repute and the associated international pressure that made Pak admit the safe release of the Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman. Even though, the truth is world known, still Pakistan calls it a goodwill and peace gesture.

While speaking to the media, the Pakistani actor and filmmaker Jamal Shah in consent with the gesture confirmed that he too would have done the same, if was in this position. He further spoke on the matter saying, “I would have done the same. A majority in Pakistan wanted to do that [send him home]. Imran just responded to popular sentiment.”

He seemed to be quite concerned with the growing tension between the two countries and its associated infiltration to the cinematic realm, as well. Several Indian directors have also banned the release of their films in Pakistan.

He further added, “We [India and Pakistan] share music, art, folklore and all other forms of tangible and intangible forms of association. We can be the most prosperous neighbors if we give peace a chance.”

Well nothing much can be said as of now until the release of our prestigious and courageous soldier back to our country. We hope to see him safe and secure back to him home.
