None of the movies released last week was able to do better over the box office. Each of them was keen to get the word of mouth buzz but none was able to create any buzz in the media or the audience getting a boost in their box office collection. Thus they were seen falling flat over the ground and with the advent of the multi-starrer film Housefull 3, things will turn bad to worse for sure. In other words, you cannot just expect any kind of improvement in terms of collection for the film.
Now, let’s start with the film Veerappan, which enjoyed a decent collection as compared to the other films releasing the same day. The Ram Gopal Varma was expecting to go beyond the first week to get a better deal at the end. The first week box office collection for Veerappan tolled to around 9 crore, which is at least better the other releases coming this day. Though the film had the potential to reap a good collection in the interiors with its fierce action but somehow it failed to prosper.
Moving to the other film Waiting starring Naseeruddin Shah and Kalki Koechlin, the film suffered a lot over the box office. As per reports, the movie Waiting first weekend box office report tolled to a meager figure of mere 2.5 crore. Thanks to the low promotion in the media and too many films releasing the same day, Waiting failed to attract the audience and as said above, Housefull 3 will do the rest damage. Lastly the film Phobia starring Radhika Apte treaded the same path with the same pace. The film had a very low collection, which as per the reports, the first week box office collection for Phobia tolled to around 1.80 crores.
