UT-based producer All set with 2nd season of American web series
Chander Mohan, the Chandigarh based writer and producer, who has already received credits on an American web series ‘Playing with the Past’ is now all set for the release of the second season of the series.
Mohan, 47, has been credited as the co-writer and co-producer of this American web series under the banner ‘Chander Mohan Film Production’. Mentioning about his upcoming web series, he said, “The series got released in April on Amazon on their prime video channel and I feel proud to be a part of it as it is getting good reviews from all over the world.”
‘Playing with the Past’ revolves around the story of a father-daughter relationship, showcasing the struggle that the duo undergoes after the memory loss of daughter.
“The web series tells the story of the strong relationship and how a father namely Ben (55) makes efforts to make her daughter Kait (18) regain the past memories, which she lost following an accident,” Mohan says.
The first season of this three-episode series was shot in Pennsylvania, USA and the second season will also be shot in the USA.
“Doing full justice to the project, we did a lot of research on American culture and American people and it took a very long time to finalize the script. We completed the shooting in about 15 days”, he further added.
Mentioning about working on an international project, Mohan mentioned, “It was always my dream to make an international project in different language where the cast and crew would be from different cultures so that we get to know each other’s culture.”
He further added, “After the success of his first project, I will keep making more such international projects under my banner ‘Chander Mohan Film Production’”.
Holding over a 17 years’ experience in the film industry, Mohan shared his success regime, saying, “Success does not come easy. At the age of 30, I moved to Mumbai and with the help of my brother, I joined Vishesh Films (film company) as production assistant.”
He is well known for his written works for Bollywood movies like ‘Yeh Sunday kyun aata hai’ and ‘Kabab mein Haddi’. He joined Vishesh Films as a production assistant in films like ‘Ghulam’, ‘Ye Hai Mumbai Meri Jaan’ and ‘Dushman’.
