Highlighting social issues and loopholes in society has also been one of the aims of Marathi cinema. With the same objective in mind, a upcoming film Kshitij, is all set to catch the attention of the Marathi audience. Khistij calls for attention towards social and cultural values that should form the backbone of the education system in our country. It draws us towards the need of quality education in the rural as well as urban areas of our state.
Upendra Limaya will be seen in the lead role in the film. The other members in the cast includes Vaishnavi Tangade, the film also stars Manoj Joshi, Vidyadhar Joshi, Sanjay Mone, Kanchan Jadhav, Rajkumar Tangade, Prakash Dhotre.
Kshitij is directed by Manoj Kadam. Karishma Mandolkar , alongwith Media Film Craft Company and Navroj Prasal Production has produced this film. Upendra Limaya is a national award winning and poular actor in Marathi. Guru Thakur has penned down the lyrics of the songs composed by music composer Shailerndra Barve. Oscar winning Resul Pookutty is the sound designer while Yogesh Rajguru is the cinematographer. The trailer and promotional song of the movie was launched in Mumbai. Child actor Vaishnavi Tangade was also seen as a major member of the cast in the launching event.
