box-office-predictions-udta-punjab-junooniyat-dhanak-bhouri

This Friday, you have a couple of releases, which come in the form of three film Udta Punjab, Junooniyat and Dhanak Bhouri. The latter is among the non-commercial in nature, while the two are commercial ones. Now, let’s start with the first – Udta Punjab directed by Abhishek Chaubey and has a couple of known stars from the B Town including Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh.  Though the film happens to be huge but its set up is failing to benefit the star appeal it has. The film has been in the controversy and making constant headlines and hence is seen enjoying a good pre-release buzz in the media.

However, considering to the fact that the movie is based on drug abuse, which is been the major issues of Punjab, you are likely to find it appealing for all. And with certificates like A with this film by the Censor Board, you get only a certain section of the audience which will be catching up the movie. Yet the film is likely to do better in terms of business as the inquisitive level of the audience would draw them to the theatres. As per the current buzz, the film is likely to collection 7-8 crores on day one, which will increase with the passing two days in the first weekend of its release.

Next comes the love and drama movie called Junooniyat produced by T Series. Though it was earlier supposed to be released next Friday, but was pulled ahead a week’s time to give the audience a different story by its actors like Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam. However, considering the low buzz of the film owing to less promotion in the media, one cannot expect much at the box office. As per the buzz and experts, the box office collection on day one would be not more than 2-3 crores. The last film is Dhanak and Bhouri, chances are bleak to see a decent collection at the box office.
