Udta Punjab’ Finally releases in Pakistan with ‘A’ certificate with too many cuts & beeps

With lots of hush-hush and fuss about the film Udta Punjab in Pakistan, the social drama finally set to release in the neighboring country. Unlike India, the film had to battle a lot before the Pakistan board and it was finally allowed to get released in the country with too many cuts, beeps and with the A Certificate. As per sources, all the cuss words were muted along with adding too many beeps in the derogatory words along with certain excisions of scenes. The chairperson of Pakistan board called Mobashir Hasan informed the media about the release with the number of changes in it.

He further informed that all the scenes having Pakistan, the term 786, Maryam Kee Seerat and a number of foul languages has been beeped and muted. As per the sources, around eight minutes of the film have been barred to be watched by the Pakistani audience by adding beeps and mutes in it. However, the release date is yet to be announced. Fakhr-e-Alam the chairperson of the Sindh Censor Board (SCB) informed the same to the media from Karachi. Now, the wait to see the release date is being anticipated by the film distributors of Pakistan to carry out the needful. Once the certificate is issued, the hard hitting entertainment film would be released. The film features a number of stars from B Town including Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Sodanjh, which has been getting applauds from the censor board of Pak as well.
