The M town has two movies this week, which include Truckbhar Swapna and Dostigiri. Both the films belong to average rating and average budget, well, let’s check how these films have performed on their first day starting with the former. Well, if you talk about Truckbhar Swapna, it got a mixed review, though it had some good performances by the lead actors like Makarand Deshpande, Sahil Gilbile, Smita Tambe and Kranti Redkar but the kind of buzz it was supposed to create seemed to be missing in many ways. This is the reason the film had to suffer a lot at the box office. The movie started with the occupancy of 10-15 per cent in most of the part of the state and then escalated a little
However, it did not end up getting an impressive occupancy report after the end of the last show. The evening shows only recorded the occupancy report to be around 30 per cent. Thus an average collection was very much expected. As per reports, the 1st-day box office collection Truckbhar Swapna reached to around 70 lakhs, which is still a good figure considering the film has failed to garner good reviews. The weekend would further collect 2-3 crore, let’s see how things would go.
Now, let’s talk about the film Dostigiri, which deals with youth content having young actors primarily dealing with friendship and commitment. However, the film failed to see some good performances with the star cast including Sanketh Pathak, Vijay Gite, Akshay Waghmare, Pooja Malekar and Pooja J. The Vijay Shinde directed movie failed to impress both the audience and critics alike, which was the fundamental reason of not gaining much over the box office. The 1st-day box office collection for Dostigiri tolled to around 72 lakhs, which is slightly higher than the other film released this day. One can expect the film to garner a bit of word of mouth buzz among the youngsters so it would be interesting to see how many collections it will get on the box office at the end of the first weekend. Stay tuned to know more about this film and others.
