Top OTT Players are Offering INR 143 crore for ’83, Check Details
As the lockdown continues due to the COVID 19 outbreak, it seems to have hampered the release date of several films including the cricket drama film 83. The films seemed to be the most awaited ones as it showcases the victory of Indian Cricket Team in 83. As per reports, the top digital platforms are now approaching the makers of 83 to sell their film’s right at the cost of 143 Crores for the movie. The film has Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in the leading roles apart from a slew of other actors in it.
As per reports, the makers have planned to release the film in June but as things are not that normal amidst the outbreak of the virus, things are not yet clear at the moment. Recently, the trade circles are seen with the buzz, the makers are yet to take up this offer. As per reports, the group CEO of Reliance Entertainment Group Mr. Shibashish Sarkar was seen talking about the same. But when he asked about this offer, he outright denied these reports.
In an interview with the leading news portal he said there is no truth about these reports and that they would only release the film on the big screen only and not on any OTT platform. He said the experience of catching any such film on a silver screen is incredible and he further added saying that if the situation deteriorates they will push the release date ahead by four to six months till they would see the cinema halls functioning smoothly.
