Top 10 Bollywood New Films With Old Titles

There are few Bollywood filmmakers who are obsessed with old titles, hence are seen making movies either a remake or simply take the title only. It seems that they face the dearth of creating new titles for their film or may be their fascination towards the older film titles compel them to embark with the same old titles with their new movies. Now, let’s check the top 10 Bollywood New Films but with old titles as under:

1). Dilwale

The new Dilwale is to be directed by Rohit Shetty wherein the main lead of the film is Shah Rukh Khan. While the older film with the same title was released way back in 1994 starring Ajay Devgn and Suniel Shetty, which was directed by Harry Baweja.

2). Ram Lakhan

The newer version of the film is still to get on the floors , hence the lead stars are still to be decided, however, its a Rohit Shetty’s film. However, the older one hit the theatres in 1989 starring Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shrff and Madhuri Dixit, which was directed by the veteran Subhash Ghai.

3). Mr. X

Its an upcoming movie of Vikram Bhatt wherein Emraan Hashmi is the lead actor in it, however, the older one with the same title was released way back in 1957 starring Ashok Kumar in the days of black and white cinema.

4). Hero

The new Hero has Suraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty both the son and daughter of Aditya Pancholi and Sunil Shetty respectively. The two would be doing their debut with this film, which appeared long back in the year 1983 starring Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Seshadri. The latter was directed by Subhash Ghai.

5). Shaandaar

Its an upcoming movie of Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt directed by Vikas Bahl, however, the older movie with the same title had Mithun Chakraborty and Mandakini in the lead roles, which was directed by Vinod Dewan released in 1990.

6). Baaghi

This is the upcoming movie of Sajid Nadiawala having Tiger Shroff in the main lead, however, the same title movie was released long back in 1990, which had Salman Khan and was directed by Deepak Shivdasani.

7). Khoobsurat

It was Fawad Khan and Sonam Kapoor starrer film, which was released in September 2014 directed by Shashanka Ghosh. However, the older one having Rekha in the lead role hit the theatres in 1990, which was by directed Hrishikesh Mukherjee.

8). Don

This film had sequels, which had Shah Rukh Khan in the two movies, however, the earlier one was made in the year 1978 starring Amitabh Bachchan and Pran in the lead roles. The newer ones have its third part scheduled, which is directed by Farhan Akhtar.

9). Agneepath

It was one of the famous movies of Amitabh Bachchan, which rocked the early eighties. However, the newer one starring Hrithik Roshan came in 2012, which failed to reach out to the mark, where the earlier one was seen.

10). Sholay

The movie starring Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra and Hema Malini was among the top classics of seventies, however, the newer one directed by Ram Gopal Varma was nothing but a big bizarre.
