The Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is all set to hit this Friday amidst a good buzz in the media. Since the film is based on the Government of India’s campaign called Swacha Bharat Abhiyaan (Cleanliness Campaign), the movie seems to be getting a good promotion at least in the states of the government having its rule. With this, many of the states have declared the film to be a tax free movie. Ever since the trailer of the film was released in the media, it has received a whopping 3 million views on it making it big and bigger over the barometer of promotion.
Since then the film has received a very good buzz in the media. The word of mouth buzz for the film has increased with passing day. Secondly, the film’s promotion has been carried out with great care and intensity which seemed to have increased the buzz in the media and among the masses. The content of the film seems to be liked by many and the promotion is being carried out in states like the UP in the presence of the Chief Minister of the state making the news not just big but better and bigger in many ways giving a good lift in the media.
With a screen count of around 2500 in the country, the film is likely to gain not just on the first day but it will extend till the Independence Day holiday on 15th August. Hence as per experts, the makers are expecting a collection of around 8 to 10 crores on the first day, while the first weekend collection for Toilet: Ek Prem Katha would trigger around 35 to 40 crores. And on Independence Day, the film is likely to drive a collection not less than 12-14 crore. In a long run, the film should be able to collect 100 crore by the end of its first week. Though we have Imtiaz Ali film still in the screens, yet it may not hamper the collection of Toilet:Ek Prem Katha for sure.
