Toilet: Ek Prem Katha starring Akshay Kumar seems to be going steady on the box office. After scoring half century on its first weekend, the film continues to bang the box office with good collection. The Monday and I Day holiday was good when it comes to minting the huge money on the first week collection for the film. After five day of its release, the film has bagged around 78 crores. And with the completion of the first week, the film bagged a huge collection making in the top grosser list of the 2017.
As per reports, after the first week, the film is close to enter the 100 crore club. The first week box office collection for Toilet Ek Prem Katha tolled to around 92 crores, which is actually a good amount for the makers. So, with this pace, the film is likely to enter into the hundred crore in its second weekend, while with this whopping collection, the film has thrashed down the other release of Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma movie called Jab Harry Met Sejal down. Hence the makers have all the reasons to rejoice. In fact, many of the experts claim that the film will continue with its good collection and beat other film as well.
With this pace, the film is likely to counter the Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees as well, which has been holding the lifetime collection of around 137.51 crore. Hence one can expect the collection reaching to the 150 crore total mark with the end of the two week collection. In a sense the bad phase in the box office is likely to get down with this film. The year 2017, which seems to have given a bad box office phase seems to come to an end with this film. The film has managed to do equally better both at the multiplex and the single screens as well.
