TMKOC: Rakhi Vijan denies rumors of replacing Disha Vakani as Dayaben

One of the most popular and long-running sitcoms on television is Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The sitcom and its characters have a large fan base, notably Dayaben, who is well-liked by the audience. Disha Vakani previously performed the character, but she left the show a few years ago. According to sources, the search for a new Dayaben is underway, and actress Rakhi Vijan has been approached for the part. However, the well-known actress has debunked the rumors on social media.

Rakhi Vijan stated that she had not been solicited by the show’s producers for the part. She expressed her surprise at the news that she might appear on the popular show. Rakhi responded to the reports on her Instagram account on Sunday. She shared a screenshot of a news article that read, “Rakhi Vijan to be seen as new Dayaben in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.” She captioned it, “Hello everyone… this news is a rumour… which shocks me…I haven’t been approached by the producers or the channel.” Fans thanked Rakhi for the clarification, but also told her that she would have been perfect for the role. Meanwhile, fans of the show continued to request the return of Disha Vakani in the popular role.
