Throwback: Salman Khan once was suffered from ‘suicide disease’

However, did you know, that he once suffered from Trigeminal Neuralgia, popularly known as “suicide disease,” a nerve disorder?
Yes, you read that right. When the ‘Dabangg’ actor was in Dubai, for a song launch of his film ‘Tubelight’, he talked about his terrible ailment and how he sought extensive therapy in the US.
In a video shared online, Salman had said, “I was suffering from this nerve problem called Trigeminal Neuralgia. So I couldn’t talk. Had to talk like that (speaking with his mouth slightly closed) and huge amount of pain.”
The actor continued by saying that the pain is so unbearable that many sufferers have considered suicide. In 2001, the superstar was said to be the first to open up about having the illness. “There is a flex and hoarseness in my voice, it’s not because I am drunk , I don’t drink during Ramadan , it’s because of this ailment. I’m doing fine. It’s just that now, I had no choice but to pay attention to my health,” he had said.
