Jawan National Cinema Day Collection: The film Skyrockets by 370%, Surpassing Baahubali 2, Uri, Pathaan & Other Major Films

The film continues to break records at the box office, even on its sixth Friday. On National Cinema Day, ticket prices were reduced to Rs. 99, and Jawan took full advantage, collecting a whopping Rs. 4.85 crore in the Hindi version alone. This is the highest gross for any film on its sixth Friday, breaking all previous records.

Jawan collected close to Rs. 5 crore in Hindi on its 37th day of release, beating all the biggies, including Baahubali 2, Gadar 2, Pathaan, and Uri: The Surgical Strike, which previously held the record for the biggest sixth-Friday collection.

This is a remarkable achievement for Jawan, as it shows that the film has strong staying power at the box office. It is also a testament to Shah Rukh Khan’s star power and the enduring popularity of Bollywood masala films.

On its sixth Friday, Jawan collected almost 5 times that of Baahubali 2, which collected 1.03 crore on its sixth Friday and closed the sixth week at 5.35 crore. Jawan is definitely set to beat this number, as it has already reached close to it on the first day of the sixth week itself. After collecting almost 370% higher than Baahubali 2 on its sixth Friday, Jawan is now aiming to beat the sixth-week collection record in Bollywood history.

The current record is held by Uri: The Surgical Strike, which collected almost 11.59 crore in week 6. Other films that have performed well in their sixth week include Pathaan (8.11 crore), Drishyam 2 (6.02 crore), and Gadar 2 (4.5+ crore). Jawan’s strong performance on its sixth Friday suggests that it has a good chance of breaking Uri’s record. The film has been praised for its action sequences, its patriotism, and its star-studded cast. It is also benefiting from the fact that there are no major new releases in the coming weeks.
