The Lion King is Roaring with 150 Crores at the Box Office
Its a big deal for the makers of The Lion King’ as we saw it going to big business at the box office. After its second weekend, the box office collection has come close toRs 150-crore mark in the country. The film so far has hauled around 137 Crores at the box office in India alone, while it was released in English, Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. In the second weekend, the film has so far collected around 39 Crores, which seems to be a decent figure for the makers.
This has made it be the second-highest earner at the box office in India in Hollywood. After ‘Avengers: Endgame’, it has remained the second-biggest weekend collection film at the box office. The film is directed by Jon Favreau which happens to be the recreation of the 1994 Disney classic film of the same title. It talks about the adventures of Simba, the young lion cub who is going to succeed his father Mufasa as the King of his land. Shah Rukh Khan has given his voice for Mufasa, while his son Aryan Khan has given his voice for Simba.
The film comes from the same director who has given the movie – The Jungle Book released in 2016. The film has been hit in the said year gaining huge collection at the box office. The other Hollywood films that did well include Captain Marvel, Aladin, and Avengers, which remained in the multi-billion box office collection.
