The Irishman Teaser Marks the Reunion of Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro

The IrishmanThe Irishman teaser is out and it depicts the star duo- Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino, under Martin Scorsese direction in full action. The film is supposed to release on Netflix later this year.

The teaser of Martin Scorsese’s upcoming film The Irishman is unveiled and it has simply turned heads on. Starring Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, this will be a biographical film based on the life of Frank Sheeran, who was known as The Irishman.

In the teaser, it can be seen that the film opens in the era of 1960s when organised crime in New York was being monitored by Italian-American mafia families. The teaser introduces the prime actor for the film, Robert De Niro’s Frank Sheeran who is in conversation with Al Pacino’s Jimmy Hoffa over the phone.

On the story line, Hoffa was the leader of the labour unions back in the day and kept deeply involved with the controlling of the organised crime sector. The film attempts at exploring the mysterious disappearance of Hoffa.

Apart from Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino, the film will also star top faces including- Joe Pesci, Bobby Cannavale, Harvey Keitel, Anna Paquin and Ray Romano.

The Irishman is actually based on the book titled, I Heard You Paint Houses by Charles Brandt. The line ‘I Heard You Paint Houses’ can also be heard in the teaser as well. The Irishman has remained to be a much-discussed project of Martin Scorsese in the directorial role that he has been planning to cast since 2014.

The film marks DeNiro and Scorsese’s ninth collaboration.

It can be clearly seen in the teaser that Robert DeNiro’s character has under gone quite a lot of de-ageing process. As the story kept spanning since decades, this technology has even come in quite handy for supplementing the storytelling.

The Irishman will be the opening film at the New York Film Festival and will only release in selected theatres while, it will also get a release on Netflix, later this year.
