Thalapathy Vijay is all set to join hands with director Vamsi Paidipally for his next film tentatively titled Thalapathy 66

Thalapathy Vijay was last seen in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s directorial Master, which was a blockbuster. The film was a treat to watch for the fans. The film collected huge numbers at the box office as well. It was loved by the critics too. Now, after celebrating the huge success of his last, Vijay is all set to collaborate with director Vamsi Paidipally for his next. The reports suggest that the film will is tentatively titled Thalapathy 66.

Earlier Vamsi confirmed to Telugu media that he will be directing Vijay in a Tamil and Telugu bilingual. Thalapathy Vijay was busy shooting for his upcoming film with director Nelson Silipkumar. But then due to the nationwide lockdown, the shoot has come to a halt. Well, now it seems like the actor has already signed his next film too.

Director Paidlipally confirmed to Telugu media that his next film will be with Thalapathy 65. He also revealed that the film will be produced by Dil Raju. He said that they will make an official announcement once the lockdown is lifted. The film would have been announced by now if the nation was not facing the deadly pandemic, he said.

As soon as this piece of news came out, Vijay fans started trending #Thalapathy66 on social media as they can’t wait for the official announcement to be out soon.

On the work front, in April, Vijay completed a schedule of Thalapathy 65 in Georgia. the commercial film will hit the theatres later this or early next year if we go by the reports. Thalapathy 65 also stars Pooja Hegde opposite the south superstar. Along with them the star cast also includes Yogi Babu, Shine Tom Chacko and Aparna Das. The film is produced by Sun Pictures.
