This Friday has three movies releasing with diverse themes. These include Aligarh, Tere Bin Laden Dead Or Alive and Bollywood Diaries. The films attract different section of audiences towards it giving certain amount of entertainment to them. Now, let’s talk about the film Aligarh starring Manoj Bajpayee and Rajkummar Rao. Both are accomplished actors who give enough reasons to have a good film in terms of performance at least. Talking about this film, it is known to have good reviews, thanks to its screening at reputed film festivals overseas. The film has best performance, which give reason to the audience to catch it.
However, checking its subject, the film seems to be a niche film, which revolves around the life of a homosexual professor at Aligarh Muslim University. Hence in terms of business, the film could have world class performances but has little substance to attract a wide range of audience for the film. A country wherein issues like these are still taboo you cannot just attract the audience to a great extent. Also, considering the competition with movies like Tere Bin Laden Dead or Alive, one can expect a low collection for the film. Aligarh is supposed to collect not more than 4 to 5 crores.
Next is the comical satire called Tere Bin Laden Dead or Alive starring Manish Sharma along with other talented star cast. Though Manish lacks good star value but the film has been promoted well in the media, which enjoys a decent buzz among the audience. Also, the prequel had managed to get a decent occupancy; it can become a launch pad for the film to collect audience far and wide. Hence as per such conditions and experts, the film Tere Bin Laden Dead or Alive is likely to collect around 7-8 cores, while the first weekend of the film is likely to grow.
Now talking about the film Bollywood Diaries, the film has a low buzz in the media so forget about doing a better business over the box office. The low star value along with minimal amount of reviews for the film, Bollywood Diaries is certainly going to have less business for sure. Also, the tough competition has given less room for the film to flourish the film in the media. So, the box office prediction for Bollywood Diaries will not go beyond 1.5 to 2 crores.
