Tara Sutaria calls her Bollywood journey as an outsider ‘lonely’

Tara Sutaria made her Bollywood debut with Student of the Year 2, Marjaavaan, and Ek Villain Returns after becoming well-known with the Disney sitcom The Suite Life of Karan & Kabir.

Actor Tara Sutaria entered Bollywood in 2019 with Student of the Year 2. Now, in a new interview, Tara shared that she is proud of herself that she could navigate the ‘difficult’ business, going on to call it a lonely task. Tara reflected on her experience working in the film industry in an interview with The Times of India.

“I didn’t know a lot of people in the industry when I started my career in films, and I was new to a lot of this whole world of filmmaking,” Tara added. As a result, it required several years to adjust to many things and comprehend how the sector operates. Additionally, managing and navigating so many things has been a very challenging and isolating endeavor since, when you’re not from the inside, you have no one with whom to truly speak or seek guidance.

She believes that many people with film-related backgrounds know a lot about movies. She eventually learned to respect her personal space. According to Tara in the interview, being a “relatively reserved and introverted” person can make things difficult.

“There have been numerous times throughout my career when I’ve wished I could have received advice or assistance from someone inside the field. For your own career, I’ve found it’s better to follow your instincts and gut,” Tara continued. She is currently content to prioritize quality above quantity in her work.
