Tanveer Ghani is an Indian origin British actor who was born and brought up in the UK. He did his schooling and college from London and since his school and college days have been the part of various plays. He went to Frank Wheldon Comprehensive School and completed his degree in acting and drama at Central School of Speech and Drama. His interest in acting led him to films starting in the year 1982 in BBC Hospital Drama called Angels. Slowly and steadily he started getting work and was recognized by playing the character of Rezaul Kabir in a BBC based soap operate called EastEnders, which was aired between 1986 to 1987.
He worked with BBC in his initial days working in different shows and soap operas. He then did a couple of British films before approached by the Bollywood for its films. Some of his British films include Boon, How to Get Ahead in Advertising, Goodnight Sweetheart, Bhaji on the Beach, Love Hurts, and The Knock. He then was seen in the British film Gimme Gimme Gimme playing Ron in it, while he then was seen in the film Bend It Like Beckham by Meera Nair with Indian actors. He then was seen in The Bill, The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, Steel River Blues, Dracula and The Golden Hour to name a few.
In Bollywood, he did two movies, first one was in 2016 called Viceroy’s House and the other is Badla recently released film of Big B and Tapsee Pannu released in March 2019. He played the character called Nirmal “Nimbi” Singh Toor in it. Talking about his personal life, he is married and has a daughter who is also venturing in the glamour industry in the UK.
