Tamannaah Bhatia Joins Siddhant Chaturvedi in Chitrapati V Shantaram Biopic

We’re among the first to reveal that the biopic on legendary film personality V Shantaram is underway, with Siddhant Chaturvedi set to play the lead in the film titled Chitrapati V Shantaram. Now, we bring you another exciting update—Tamannaah Bhatia has officially signed on to the project.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Tamannaah Bhatia is currently riding a high and has demonstrated her versatility across diverse roles. Like Siddhant, she too will portray a real-life character, and it’s a pivotal part of the narrative. Tamannaah is thrilled by the challenge, and audiences will get to see a new dimension of her acting.”The source further shared, “Chitrapati V Shantaram will be helmed by director Abhijeet Deshpande, known for the acclaimed Marathi biopic Ani… Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar (2018). Deshpande also scripted memorable Marathi films like Natsamrat (2016) and notable Hindi titles such as Table No. 21 (2013), Wazir (2016), and Breathe (2018).”
