Maidaan will now hit theaters on the evening of April 10, while the action-packed Bade Miyan Chote Miyan opted against paid previews and will arrive on April 11, coinciding with Eid.

Ajay Devgn started the year on a high note with his film Shaitaan, which collected a whopping 144.79 crore at the box office and was hailed as a hit. Now, the early reviews for Maidaan are indicating even better numbers, building anticipation for its Eid release.

Maidaan has witnessed an impressive jump of almost 111% in just 24 hours. Despite the confusion surrounding the release date, the film has managed to nearly double its collection from the previous day, selling around 15 lakh worth of tickets. The current collection of 31.77 lakh comes from 14,000 sold tickets across approximately 3,500 shows.

The delay of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has worked in favor of Maidaan. By releasing earlier, Ajay Devgn’s film has the opportunity to reap the benefits of these few extra hours, which could prove to be a hidden advantage in its clash with the massy action flick led by Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.
