Tejasswi Prakash will play the lead role of Naagin this season, and it appears that the actor will be under a lot of pressure because the budget for this season is massive compared to any other show on television.
For the unaware, the winner of Bigg Boss on Sunday was revealed to be Tejasswi, that same day it was clear that she would play the lead role in the forthcoming Naagin season. We already know that the premise of the show will focus on a pandemic and an attack by a neighbouring nation, thanks to the first trailer released a few days ago. This year, Naagin is supposed to emerge as a saviour, rescuing the country from a deadly disease that spreads through water bodies.
According to the reports Ekta Kapoor, the producer of the Naagin franchise, has opted to go big with this season. She is said to have spent a fortune on this season and is anticipating similar results.
A source close to the development told the publication, “This is the most expensive season of Naagin. If this does not work, Ekta Kapoor might shut down the franchise from next year. She is making it on a budget of Rs 130 crores. She is like she’ll go big or do nothing at all. There is immense pressure on Tejasswi Prakash and Simba Nagpal as this is a huge sum. People told Ekta Kapoor that she could have made a movie with this amount. The show is heavy on special effects this time round.”
