1st day Box office collection Mumbai Delhi Mumbai, Beyond – The Third Kind and Balwinder Singh Famous Ho Gaya

Mumbai Delhi Mumbai, Beyond – The Third Kind and Balwinder Singh Famous Ho Gaya box office

The 26th September 2014’s Friday has witnessed total 8 movies hitting the theaters. Most of these are low budget less star value movies. This list of eight certainly includes the three Mumbai Delhi Mumbai, Beyond – The Third Kind and Balwinder Singh Famous Ho Gaya. All of these movies are different in nature, dealing diverse subjects, giving the audience a good number of opportunities to choose the right one this weekend. Perhaps the reason why too many movies have hit today is the fear and heavy screen bookings of theatres in the coming weeks for movies like Bang Bang and Haider. Let’s check how the movies would perform in its first day as under:

Let’s talk about Mumbai Delhi Mumbai, starring Shiv Pandit and Piaa Bajpai, while it is directed by Satish Rajwade. Frankly, there is hardly any buzz for this movie considering the dull and low promotion. It is a low budget movie with no star value, which really gave an impact over it occupancy rate. Both the morning and afternoon were virtually vacant, with 5 to 10 occupancy rate, while the collection as per this rate would be 40 to 50 Lakhs for this romantic comedy.

Next is the Beyond – The Third Kind, which is a Jasmine Siddiqui Panjwani’s production. Jasmine is both the director and producer of the movie, which is basically a psychological trauma of a lady-boy and the way he is seen struggling out of this, but soon finds it impossible to do so. The movie falls under a niche subject, hence would only attract a small section of audience towards it. Checking the occupancy rate, it was really down, which is indeed not worth discussing here. The collection therefore would toll to around 20-30 lakhs.

Last comes in the form of Balwinder Singh Famous Ho Gaya, it is a debut production of Mika Singh wherein he and Shaan are there in the lead roles. The movie has already garnered a good buzz over the social media, however, the review for the movie has been average, which has given an impact over the occupancy and box office collection. As per reports, the occupancy rate was around 15 to 20 percent, which means the collection would be around 1 to 1.5 Crore at the first day.

Wrapping up

This Friday, you have too many movies releasing this day have really chocked the minds of the audience, however, all of them happens to be low budget, you cannot expect neither of the three doing well over the Box office.
