New Guidelines for OTT, Ekta Kapoor and Prasoon Joshi Welcomes, while Pritish Urges to Tread carefully
With too much backlash to several web series and digital content, we now see the government embarking with new guidelines for the OTT stuff this Thursday. The moment it came, the film stalwarts like EKta Kapoor, Vikram Bhatt, Prasoon Joshi and others seemed to react to it. While Pritish Nandy, a known producer and activist was seen saying that there is a need to carefully move ahead with some regulations.
On the other hand, the trio are among the known film producers and directors and called the act of government to be a great move. However, Nandy and Onir seemed to have different sayings on this move. The former accepted it, while the latter slammed the move. The government was seen coming up with the code of ethics, while the three tier grievance redressal mechanism seemed applicable to all the streaming platforms including Netflix, Amazon and Disney Plus sizzlingstar.Â
