Rohit Shetty, Sidharth Malhotra’s cop thriller web series ‘ Indian Police Force’ to release on Diwali 2023?
Rohit Shetty, famed for his over-the-top action blockbusters, is making his OTT debut with the upcoming web series “Indian Police Force.” The web series, which stars Sidharth Malhotra as a cop alongside Shilpa Shetty and Vivek Oberoi, has already raised eyebrows due to its subject and casting.
Moviegoers are excited to see Rohit handle the action genre again, especially after the debacle of his last comedy film ‘Cirkus’. The web series has already been shot, and it is currently in post-production. Now according to recent media sources, the series will be released on Diwali.
According to Pinkvilla, Indian Police Force will be available on Amazon Prime on Diwali 2023. According to a source close to the development, the filmmaker wants to reward fans with an action thriller for the Diwali weekend.
“Over the years, Rohit Shetty has treated his audience with films during the Diwali weekend and he will continue with the tradition this year too with the ‘Indian Police Force’. Contrary to the general pattern of curating content for OTT, IPF is a clean web series that can be viewed by the family audience. Rohit has a brand name to live up to and he was clear on not going below the belt with his digital debut”, the source told Pinkvilla.
There are also rumours that ‘Indian Police Force’ will be part of Rohit Shetty’s expanding theatrical cop universe, which includes Singham, Simmba, and Sooryavanshi, and that Sidharth will play a larger role in it. We must wait for an official confirmation from the director till then.

Meanwhile, Rohit’s last directorial venture ‘Cirkus’ which starred Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez turned out to be a huge box office disaster. Hence Rohit has lot riding on this web series. Apart from ‘Indian Police Force’ Sidharth Malhotra’ will be seen in another cop thriller ‘Yodha’, where he will be seen sharing screen with Disha Patani and Raashi Khanna. The film is scheduled to be released on 15 September.
