Chehre 1st Weekend Box Office Collection – Too Low Figure to Count

As the film Chehre hit last Friday, we saw the makers coming up at the theatres. The film has now hit the theatres and looking at the responses, it seems that the thriller has failed to impress the audience. All thanks to the low figures in the box office collection when we saw drawing too less amounts during the weekends. On the first day, the makers gained around 0.50 Crores, while on Saturday it scored only 0.60 Crores, just ten lakhs more the next day.

The makers, however, were expecting a better footfall on the first Sunday of the movie as it can turn the table with some better figures, but the Big B and Emraan Hashmi starrer film was able to get a small boost for the collection. As per reports, the collection on the third day went to around 1.10 Crores, which is certainly a lower figure than expected by the makers. So, with these figures, the first weekend box office collection for Chehre went to score around 2.40 Crores.

The trade pundits and experts feel that the low figure went down since the makers of the film failed to choose the right time to release it. The month of April was better but then they were not expecting to release it straight to the theatres but only had confined it to the OTT platform. The experts felt that film is more suitable for the OTT platform and it has not much to attract the audience to the theatres. Even high star value films like Radhe and BellBottom also failed to attract audiences, what more can be expected for such movies.
