AIBA or Arab Indo Bollywood Awards is embarking with its first award event organized by the media group called Al Bustan Events and Benchmark Media is expected to a witness more than 15,000 fans from all across the Gulf Nations. There is a huge demand for tickets since the event was announced. More than 400 people are expected to join the event from Bombay, which include the celebrities, technical team and others. The award function will be witnessed in UAE, which is meant to promote Indian Cinema in Arab world.
The nominations are already being submitted for the AIBA awards and to name a few, for best film category, you have Queen along with movies like PK, Haider and Filmisthan, for director category you have Rajkumar Hirani for PK, Vikas Bhahl for Queen and Vishal Bhardwaj for Haider. Similarly, for Best actor, you have Aamir Khan for PK, Shahid Kapoor for Haider and Salman Khan for Kick and for the best actress, you have Alia Bhatt for 2 States, Priyanka Chopra for Mary Kom and Kangana Ranut for Queen.
The event is scheduled on 29th May 2015 at the popular venue called Meydan Racecourse, Dubai. As per the organizers, more than 150 stars are expected to join the event on the said day, which include all the B Town top celebs like Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Rajkumar Hirani, Kangana Ranaut, etc. This is perhaps the biggest ever event of Bollywood stars in Middle East, which is meant to promote Indian Cinema among the Bollywood fans found in Arab World. In the jury you have a couple of Indians as well, which include Javed Jaffery and Arbaaz Khan.
