Review

The film is all about friendship but amidst all this, the strong friendship seems missing somewhere. All thanks to the lacking chemistry between the four. One can find some hilarious moments in their friendship but the kind of impact with their separation seems missing. The idea of childhood friends coming together to commit crimes and having fun seems cool but the makers seemed to have gone overboard. Even the twists in the film fails to impress the audience and so are the dialogues.

Talking about the performances, Vijay Varma seemed cool as he mimics Big B very well. The others like Amit Sadh, Vidyut Jammwal and Sanjay Mishra too have given decent performances. But the makers failed to give their characters the right depth. Shruti’s character was nicely written when compared to the four leads. Talking about the direction, music and other elements, the story of the film remains a one line tale – too little too late.

The makers however, have failed to transform the one-liner narration into a masterpiece, which somewhere was too shabby to watch. The excessive switching on and off seemed to have hampered things from bad to worse. The makers couldn’t succeed in using the action sequences into path breaking ones. The action lacked the punch despite having action heroes like Jammwal. The songs seemed okay and so was the music. The other elements were okay and did not boost up the entertainment value of the film.

Yaara The Last Word

The film has both good and bad moments, but sadly the latter dominates on the former. The story had potential to turn into a good film but makers failed to embark with an average stuff. However, in terms of performances, the audience has some good action to catch. At least Yaara can be a good one time watch amid the Friendship day eve.
