Bio – Sunidhi Chauhan is a playback singer from India and known to sing Bollywood songs. Apart from singing Hindi songs, she also sings in other languages including Punjabi, Oriya, Marathi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, Assamese and Bengali. She is among the leading singers of Bollywood. She started when she was four years old and was discovered by one of the TV anchors, however, she was recognised in a big way after winning the singing contest called Meri Awaz Suno that gave her the chance to sing in Bollywood for the movie called Shastra. Her first big banner movie was Mast from Ram Gopal Varma wherein her song Ruki Ruki Si Zindagi made her popular. Though was nominated at many times but could only win few awards (2 at Filmfare and one at Screen and IIFA awards).

She hails from Delhi, wherein she did her schooling from Greenway Modern School wherein she also was seen singing at various platforms. Tabbassum the popular TV host noticed her and gave her chance to sing in her show later suggesting her family to shift to Bombay to pursue her career in singing. She then was introduced to Kalyanji Ananadji Bhai by Tabassum and later became the leading singer of their group called Little Wonders’ Troupe. She won the show Meri Aawaz Suno made her popular in musical circle. Her first album was with HMV called Aira Ghaira Nathu Khaira, which unfortunately was considered in kids’ section making the debacle.

She worked with a couple of music directors singing a number of songs for Bollywood movies and other Indian languages based movies and albums. She gave her voice to a number of Bollywood actresses, which include Madhuri Dixit, Rekha, Sridevi, Kajol, Preity Zinta, Aishwarya Rai, Rani Mukerji, Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Urmila Matondkar, Sushmita Sen, Shilpa Shetty, Shamita Shetty, Dia Mirza, Lara Dutta, Esha Deol, etc. As per as her personal life is concerned, she married twice. Her first marriage was with the choreographer called Bobby Khan when she was 18. She eloped with this man against the wishes of her family, however, her marriage failed miserably in her very first year. Later in 2012, she got married to his childhood friend and music composer called Hitesh Sonik at Mumbai. She is also involved in concerts and live performances, which are many to name them. She made special appearances at various places including at Radio Mirchi, Femina Miss India 2011 and also participated in the show called X Factor.
