It was a big time for the recently released Karan Johar film – Student of The Year 2. The film opened on a higher note with the collection of 12.02 Cr on the first day, while the Saturday witnessed a hike over the box office with the collection reaching to 14.08 Cr. The experts suspected that the film would suffer on Sunday due to the final of 2019, and thus the collection reached around 12.75 Cr on the first Sunday, which is still decent.
The film starring Tara Sutaria, Ananya Panday and Tiger Shroff enjoyed a good collection at the box office during the 1st weekend with the collection reaching to around 38.85 Cr. However, when you look at the collection of the film at the box office on Monday, it badly dipped to 5.52 Cr that made the collection going on a made as it falls below 60 percent of the collection of Sunday. The collection for the sequel so far is 44.35 Crores if you add Monday’s figure as well.
Now, if things do go well at the box office, it will take time to get the collection to get another 50 Crore to get into the 100 Crore Club. The film is directed by Punit Malhotra, while it is produced under the banner of Dharma Productions of Karan Johar. The film happens to be the sequel of 2012 Student of the Year starring Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, and Sidharth Malhotra, which interestingly gave a decent debut to the three actors. Well, let’s see how things would move, but the moment the picture seems to be okay.
