Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 10: Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao Juggernaut Continues; Can It Surpass SRK’s Jawan?

“Stree 2,” the sequel to the 2018 horror-comedy hit, is continuing its impressive run at the domestic box office, amassing an estimated ₹341.65 crore within just 10 days of its release. Starring Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana, the film has maintained strong audience interest since its debut on August 15, thanks to a strategic release and positive word-of-mouth.

As reported by Sacnilk.com, “Stree 2” began with a solid ₹8.5 crore during paid premieres and skyrocketed to ₹51.8 crore on its opening day. The film continued to perform well over the weekend, with Friday collections at ₹31.4 crore, Saturday at ₹43.85 crore, and Sunday reaching ₹55.9 crore. While Monday saw a slight dip to ₹38.1 crore, the film recovered with ₹25.8 crore on Tuesday, followed by ₹19.5 crore on Wednesday, and ₹16.8 crore on Thursday, ending its first week with a total of ₹291.65 crore. Entering its second week, “Stree 2” demonstrated resilience with a 4.17% increase in collections on its second Friday, earning ₹17.5 crore. In fact, even more revenue is expected as the extended four-day weekend continues through Monday, thanks to the partial holiday for Janmashtami.

It is estimated to have brought in ₹32.5 crore on Saturday, pushing its 10-day total to ₹341.65 crore. Analysts predict the film could surpass ₹432 crore, positioning it third behind “Jawan” and “Pathaan.”Filmmaker Karan Johar praised the team’s efforts on social media, attributing the film’s success to its “solid storytelling” and “rooted content.” He noted that the film benefited from the long Independence Day weekend, a crucial advantage over other releases like “Fighter” and “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.

Additionally, Aparshakti Khurana expressed excitement about his brother Ayushmann Khurrana joining the horror-comedy franchise, hinting at surprises in future installments. The success of “Stree 2” reaffirms the audience’s preference for engaging narratives in Hindi cinema.
