Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal to Kick Off ‘Love and War’ in October; Alia Bhatt to Join Later: Report

The much-anticipated film “Love and War” will see the trio of Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Alia Bhatt sharing the screen for the first time. This project also marks a significant reunion between Ranbir and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali after more than a decade. As excitement builds around this high-budget entertainer, recent reports indicate that Ranbir and Vicky will begin shooting before Alia, who will join them a couple of months later. Filming is set to commence in October, with sources suggesting that viewers can look forward to enjoying the playful chemistry between Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
According to a Pinkvilla report, “Sanjay Leela Bhansali starts his journey on Love and War by capturing solo sequences featuring Ranbir Kapoor, followed by scenes highlighting the friendship between RK and Vicky.” The schedule has been thoughtfully designed to accommodate the cast’s availability.Alia Bhatt is expected to join the filming in December after wrapping up her current project, “Alpha,” with Yash Raj Films. Reports indicate that she is engaged in an extensive shoot for this female spy universe film. A source shared, “Alia has reserved significant dates for YRF and will transition to Love and War after completing her work on Alpha by late November or early December.”
Both Alia and Vicky have committed over 200 days to Sanjay Leela Bhansali, ensuring they focus solely on this project until its completion, which is targeted for the third quarter of 2025.“Love and War” promises to be an epic saga with a romantic backdrop, reuniting Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ranbir Kapoor after their falling out post-Ranbir’s debut in 2007. The filmmaker announced the project on social media, revealing plans for a Christmas 2025 release, further heightening anticipation for this star-studded collaboration.
