Karan Johar’s name from Gunjan Saxena Biopic Trailer Disappears Amid Nepotism Debate
As the film Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl starring Janhvi Kapoor is ready to release on 12th August on Netflix, we see the makers releasing its trailer. The trailer has got a decent response, which is directed by Sharan Sharma and the film was released in April 2020 but was averted due to the lockdown. As the trailer released, we saw the name of Karan Johar and his production banner Dharma Productions missing. Of late, the filmmaker’s name has been dragged in the nepotism debate a lot.Â
The trailer seems to have created a good buzz around the social media as it was released on 1st August. While the release of the trailer also saw the director’s name missing on it. All one could see was the star cast name and things like music and cinematography seen over the trailer. However, when the leading lady shared the poster of the film, she was quick to tag Karan JOhar as well when she announced that her film will be releasing on 12th August.Â
Besides Janhvi Kapoor, the film also has actors like Pankaj Tripathi, Vineet Kumar Singh, Angad Bedi, and Ayesha Raza Mishra to name a few in the lead roles. The film is all about a lady playing the first female Indian Air Force pilot role in combat during the war of Kargil with Pakistan.
