Sridevi Bungalow the Priya Prakash Varrier’s film is in a legal tangle
Remember Priya Prakash Varrier, yes the same internet sensation who came into limelight with her wink. Her song with the wink had gone viral on the web last year. Her eyebrow game has made her famous on the internet. The lady is all set to make her entry into B Town with her first film called Sridevi Bungalow. Prasanth Mambully has directed the film and it is produced under the banner of Aarat Entertainment. The makers have released the teaser in the media this Sunday. The one minute and 49 seconds teaser showcase the life of Sridevi and the death of the lady last year in Dubai when she had gone to attend her relative’s party.
In this movie, we see Priya Prakash Varrier playing the character of an actress who resembles a lot to Sridevi. Interestingly, she is also named Sridevi in the film and shown as a lonely actress. However, as the teaser got the release, we saw Boney Kapoor the late actress husband sending a legal notice to the makers. The makers have also confirmed the same and said that they would face it. They informed that the film happens to be a suspense thriller and the director claimed that he had a talk with Boney Kapoor and he informed that he had a talk with him stating that Sridevi is a common name and that his film is a suspense thriller.
He then said that the film is about an actress who is lonely and is played by Priya and that he would face the legal battle with Kapoor. On the other hand, when Priya was asked about the film, she did not accept or denied that the film has anything to do with Sridevi and that it showcases the life of the late actress. When her father was asked about it, he said that this question has to be addressed and asked by the makers of the film and not by him.
