A#metooo campaign in Bollywood was revived on Sunday when a woman team member of film Sanju alleged “famous” film director Raj Kumar Hirani for Misconduct during the shooting of the film “Sanju” an autobiography of Sanjay Dutt, many Bollywood stars have supported Hirani and called these allegations false and to hurt his reputation.
It is pertinent to mention that Warsi had earlier worked with Raj Kumar Hirani in The Muna Bhai Mbbs starred by Sanjay Dutt. Warsi played the role of circuit in the movie and the film got a huge response from the audience.
Talking to media Warsi further added, “it is too early to talk about allegations leveled over Raj Kumar Hirani by an unidentified woman as I don’t know much about the incident”.
Adding more Warsi added “Individually I don’t prefer to make a hasty judgment and pass my opinion and all of a sudden begin taking a person in an unexpected way. I can’t do that. I feel about Rajkumar Hirani is a marvelous honorable man. He is a beautiful person. My relationship with him is so long and I have never observed one wrong thing about him,” reported by IANS.
Many stars including Dia Mirza, Boney Kapoor, and Sharman Joshi have already extended their support to the Hirani by issuing statements. Dia Mirza who starred in the film “Sanju” extended the support to the director and believes on his decency.
“I am deeply distressed by this news. As someone who has known and respects Raju sir for 15 years, I can only hope that a due official inquiry is conducted. He is one of the most decent human beings I have ever worked with and I think it would be grossly unjust on my part to speak on this as I do not know the details.”
Meanwhile, filmmaker Boney Kapoor while talking to ANI said “I don’t believe this allegation. He can never do something like this.” Sharman Joshi, who featured in Mr Hirani’s 3 Idiots, tweeted: “Raju sir, is a man of immense integrity, character, honor, compassion, and truthfulness, all the virtues one would imagine are non-existent in people today, someone I am absolutely inspired by and have learned from and because of whom I believe I have gone onto being a better person.”
