Rajnikanth has remained an uncrowned king in South Indian films. His fan following is not just confined to India alone but has all across the world. It was announced by none other than the Information and Broadcast Minister, Mr. Prakash Jawdekar. He was quick to announce this big news that made many of Rajnikanth’s fans happy. The award came a little late, as it was pushed ahead due to COVID 19 pandemic. The award seemed to have made his fans also happy.
First, let’s check what the union minister has to say about it as under:
Happy to announce #Dadasaheb Phalke award for 2019 to one of the greatest actors in history of Indian cinema Rajnikant ji
His contribution as actor, producer and screenwriter has been iconic

As you can see the Union Minister congratulated the superstar for the award and his contribution towards Indian film industry. He has given some of the best hits including Billu, Sivaji, Bassha, Muthu, Robot and 2.0 to name a few. Earlier, in December he was supposed to launch his political party and he is being hospitalized for the blood pressure up and down. Later when he was discharged, he issued a statement saying that he is sorry for not fulfilling the promise for obvious reasons. He added that without entering into politics or contesting elections, he would be serving the people and he is very much sorry for being disappointed by his fans.
