The award came a little late, as it was pushed ahead due to COVID 19 pandemic. The award seemed to have made his fans also happy.

As you can see the Union Minister congratulated the superstar for the award and his contribution towards Indian film industry. He has given some of the best hits including Billu, Sivaji, Bassha, Muthu, Robot and 2.0 to name a few. Earlier, in December he was supposed to launch his political party and he is being hospitalized for the blood pressure up and down. Later when he was discharged, he issued a statement saying that he is sorry for not fulfilling the promise for obvious reasons. He added that without entering into politics or contesting elections, he would be serving the people and he is very much sorry for being disappointed by his fans.
