Sonakshi Sinha supports father Shatrughan Sinha’s decision of quitting BJP


The popular actor who turned out to be a politician and a rebel against the BJP, the current leader Shatrughan Sinha has met the Congress President Rahul Gandhi in Delhi on March 28 met mentioning his intentions to join the Congress during the auspicious occasion of Navaratri by next month.

The Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha, daughter of the politician has come out in support of her father Shatrughan Sinha’s decision to quit the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and join Congress. Sonakshi, while sharing her views on the same at an award event said Shatrughan Sinha should have left the BJP long ago.

Sonakshi further added, “If you are not happy with what happening at a place with whom you are associated, then, there is a need to bring a change. And the same he did. I hope in his new association with the Congress, he will be able to do a lot of good work and not feel suppressed.”

This development came up soon after the actor, Shatrughan Sinha, turning out to be a vocal critic of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was left behind for the party ticket from Patna Sahib parliamentary constituency in Bihar. However, he currently resides as the sitting Member of Parliament (MP) from the seat.

Shatrughan on this account calling himself as the greatest admirer of Nehru-Gandhi family said, “Democracy within the BJP does not exist any longer. Dictatorship prevails instead. That’s why I have decided to join the Congress Party during the auspicious period of Navaratri.”

Shatrughan Sinha also added, “In every situation, the location will be the same Patna”.
