Sonakshi Sinha Once Again Slammed by Uttar Pradesh Minister for Ramayana blunder

SonakshiUttar Pradesh Minister Sunil Bharala has criticized the Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha, who was recently unable to answer a question on ‘Ramayana’ while, playing in a popular television quiz show hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, Kaun Banega Crorepati, last week.

Bharala, who is from a ministerial rank position as Chairman of the Labour Welfare Council, called Sonakshi a ‘Dhan Pashu’ (money animal) and mentioned that people today have no time for learning and they only care about earning money.
Adding to his statement, the minister said, “In modern times, these people are only after money. All they care about is earning money and spending that money on them. They have no knowledge of history and gods. They have no time for learning. Nothing can be sadder than this.”

Referring to Sonakshi’s failure to answer a mythological question related to Ramayana in an episode of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ on September 20, he was quite critical about her.

On the show, Sonakshi appeared to support a contestant from Rajasthan as she was asked: “According to Ramayana, Hanuman fetched the ‘Sanjeevani Booti’ (herb) for whom?”

It was quite surprising to see that she apparently did not have the right answer on her mind out of the four options — Sugriva, Lakshmana, Sita and Rama, and in fact, finally used a lifeline to answer the question.

Expressing his surprise on account of Sonakshi’s lack of knowledge about the Indian epic, the show’s host actor Amitabh Bachchan later also pointed out that it was simply strange that she lives in a house called ‘Ramayana’, her father’s name is Shatrughan Sinha, whose three other brothers are called Ram, Lakshman and Bharat, and her own brothers are named Luv and Kush and yet she didn’t have the right answer.
The actor was later hugely trolled over the social media for the same reason.
