Siddhanth Kapoor gets bail in the drug case, have to appear in court when summoned
Shraddha Kapoor’s brother and actor Siddhanth Kapoor can breathe a sigh of relief after being granted bail. He was arrested at an alleged rave party in Bengaluru on Monday.
According to ANI, Siddhanth, who was a DJ at a party at a posh hotel in Bengaluru with several others, was granted station bail. He will have to appear in court as and when he is summoned in the matter. Now the police are taking the probe ahead.
Bheema Shankar Gulled, DCP East Bengaluru was quoted by ANI as saying, “Actor Shraddha Kapoor’s brother Siddhanth Kapoor and four others have been released on station bail. They will further have to appear before the Police as and when called.”
Yesterday it was reported that the Bengaluru Police had booked Siddhanth from a party with 35 other people. Shraddha’s brother reportedly tested positive for the consumption of drugs and he was arrested by the Bengaluru Police.
On Sunday night, Bengaluru Police raided a posh hotel where a rave party was allegedly taking place, acting on a tip. 35 people were detained including Siddhanth Kapoor. While the cops did not discover any drugs on the people detained, they did discover MDMA and Ganja disposed of nearby. DCP Guled told ANI, “We didn’t find any drugs on their person but found MDMA & ganja disposed of nearby. We’ll investigate CCTV to check who disposed of it.”
Talking to ETimes Shakti Kapoor denied the allegation and said, “I can say only one thing – it’s not possible.” Later, talking to Hindustan Times, Shakti Kapoor had said, “I’m in Mumbai and I don’t know what is happening. I got to know from news channels only. All I know as of now is that there is no arrest and Siddhanth has only been detained.”
Meanwhile, according to the latest information, Siddhanth, along with four other people arrested in the case, has been released on bail.
