The last Friday solo release called Judwaa 2 has done a good business over the box office. However, this is the not the case with the current release of film this Friday. Chef though enjoy a decent buzz in the media with its cool type trailer but the way it has performed really doesn’t really match the expectations of the makers. The first day was dull for the movie as the sequel of Varun seemed still dominating over the screens and so the collections. The fact is the film Chef seemed to do better but having a look at the occupancy reports the film really has done bad over the box office.
Despite getting the favorable reviews over the box office the film continued to embark with a disappointing kind of performance over the box office. The film opened up with 10 to 20 percent of occupancy, which is certainly low affair at the ticket window. Now, talking about the occupancy in the evening there was some amount of escalation in the evening show yet the film had failed to impress the audience in a big way. As per the reports, the first day box office collection for Chef netted to around 3.5 crore, which is still understandable.
It is expected to surge in the coming first weekend provided it garners a good word of mouth buzz in the media. Now talking about the other film released on the same day called Julie 2, the film failed to live up to the expectations. As per reports, Julie 2 was a poor show despite the buzz it has collected so far with the skin show. The occupancy was not even 10 percent in the morning shows, though it escalated to some level but didn’t defy the challenge of calling the audience to it. As per reports, the 1st Day Box Office Collection for Julie 2 tolled to around 2 crores.
